As I sit here listening to the fountains gurgling, a calming, soothing noise, my mind drifts to Kazam, Misty and the start of my love affair with Bouvier Des Flanders. The occasional bark of the dogs, the quiet neigh as the horses keep track of each other, the kitten playing on the deck. My perennial beds planted, and the start of ornamental trees. What a great way to spend our active retirement years. Dogs and horses to be cared for, rough housing with the young active dogs, to the gentle care needed for the smaller or older dogs. I have started again, in this community to teach obedience and behaviour management. Mystyroch Kennel, 1 km south of the small community of Lafond in central Alberta.  |
