We're glad you could join us!

I will constantly be working and adding to the site; As the articles and poems go up you will get the story of my love affair with my bouviers.  Also how they became the angels and guardians of my life, seizure alert and mobility assist,  My first bouvier was a rescue, and this dog that hated men became my savior and a good canine citizen.  Kazam cracked open doors that Tig-ger finally got full acceptance and love in Ontario.  In Alberta I started with Czar and now Khan walks through life facing problems but nothing like Czar.  With working with dogs, they have given me the ability to face the major medical problems in my life and succeed.  They have given me the ability to appear normal to people who don't really know me, They are FREEDOM and INDEPENDENCE.  They are love finding love in an never ending circle

I walked outside today
Into the sun and gleaming snow
My Bouviers leaping in front of me
Happy , lively, fun to see
They cause memories
Of Bouviers past
As I watch them roll
Then leap way into the air
A glorious black body
So full of grace
The glistening of snow
Like a halo encased

Tribute To Lost Friends

Tribute To Our Lost Friends

What an incredible mark they make on our lives
They fill our minds with foolish Bouvier grins
Their stately dignified walk
The crazy gambling lope
A million memories that fill our mind
With each and every one
They steal their way into our heart
With that dark eyed soulful grin
We have lost so many friends
In the shortest period of time
I picture the new arrivals

SERVICE BOUVS Rita and Kahn
Freedom on Four Paws
by Rita Lillico

Khan is my seventh Bouvier des Flandres to walk at my side as
my service dog. Seizure Alert and Mobility Assist. He walks
at my side for medical reasons. He is my continuing doorway to independence and
a fairly normal life for me with no seizures.  Kazam was the first and we learned by hit and miss – training and re-training until we got things right to help me the way I needed. A voyage over the years of constant
discovery. At that time he sort of wore the title of
mobility assist dog, as “seizure alert” was not in the
service dog vocabulary. Seeing Eye most definitely,
Hearing Ear was gaining acceptance rapidly. As time
passed and with each new service dog, knowledge in the
world grew and the term Seizure Alert finally came into
being. What I had been doing for years with my Bouviers
at my side was finally gaining acceptance, although the
battle is still there for all service dogs, as not all people
accept them. So my love affair for these dogs was well
established and continues to this day.
