Tribute To Our Lost Friends

What an incredible mark they make on our lives
They fill our minds with foolish Bouvier grins
Their stately dignified walk
The crazy gambling lope
A million memories that fill our mind
With each and every one
They steal their way into our heart
With that dark eyed soulful grin
We have lost so many friends
In the shortest period of time
I picture the new arrivals

As they lope across they Rainbow Bridge
Were they are meet by all our guardians
That we have lost over time
A story comes into my mind
In it a boy simple states
People live longer as we have to learn
How to live a good and loving life
Well our dogs already know how to
So they don't need to stay as long
They make there mark as they love us
No matter what we do
We can make dozens of mistakes
They forgive us every one
They wish to be with us
No matter what we are doing
And when the day has ended
We look down with a heart filled with love
At sprawled shag rugs spread across the floor
Happy to be constantly at our side
That happy face surrounded by dreadlocks
Brings peace and love to our heart
